About Andy

Hi, I’m Andy.

I started out in the fencing trade before I left school, working with my father at weekends and when ever I could to earn extra money.

My father’s been an inspiration to me and taught ┬áme a lot of what I know now. He taught me to be honest and hard working and to have a great deal of pride in everything I do. The perfectionist in him definitely rubbed of on me. If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well, near enough is NOT good enough, it’s got to be right. I enjoy trying to get it right too. I get so much satisfaction from finishing a job, standing back knowing I’ve done the best I can do and seeing the reaction and smile on the customers face when they see what I’ve created for them, be it a fence, gate, decking, pergola or what ever it might be.

Yes, I do actually enjoy my job. I will admit some jobs can be a bit testing and the good old British weather can put a dampener on things sometimes but I can’t imagine doing anything else.

I left school in 1991 and have been in the trade ever since. I’ve been self-employed for the best part of my life since school but have worked for other fencing companies on the books and sub-contracting over the years. I’ve managed to make a good name for myself and would say nighty percent of my work is either repeat custom or by recommendation.

I specialize in garden fencing, repairs and gates. The most common types of fences I erect would be with concrete slotted posts, concrete gravel boards with either featheredge (close board) panels or the ordinary lap panels. Also featheredge or close board fencing (featheredge are the name of the vertical slats used to make up close board fencing) with timber or concrete posts. Also panel fencing with or without gravel boards. They are the sort of fences I do most regularly but I also do chain link, steel and timber palisade, picket, metal bow top, post and rail, stock fencing and the list goes on.

Well thats about me and a bit of what I do, so if you need a quote at a competitive price get in touch. A no obligation site visit and quote cost nothing, so what you waiting for. Just to pre warn you my lead time can be anything from four days if your lucky up to four months or more.

I look forward to hearing from you.
